I really had a lot of fun making my website. Trying to pick out the colors and scheme, pictures and how I wanted everything to flow was really time consuming but well worth it in the long run. I wish that my iMovie would've showed up because I put a lot of time and effort into it, so here in the new future I plan to buy different server space that will support my iMovie so that way people can watch it. I also need to change my buttons so that we they all don't go back the home page, make it easier to navigate, which won't take long at all to fix. And just checking out my interactive storybook I realize that it doesn't fit on the page and so I need to go back and fix that. Now that I know what I need to go back and fix I plan on doing that so that way I can only keep updating and making it better! Thanks again to Cyndi for making this class an enjoyable one and letting us experience everything we have!
Jennifer's website was really bright and fun, it made me so ready for summer! I liked the daily schedule button that she had on there because if the parents ever want to know what their students are doing throughout the day all they have to do is get on and look, just make sure to keep it updated! The ABC book looked like it could have been really cool but I couldn't get the next and previous buttons to come up, and that could have just been my computer instead of her website. I also liked the way her pictures were set up. Having the date on there is cool and could really be helpful in the future if parents or other people in the community want to look and see what the students did for that day, especially if they went somewhere. I like that! Great website, colors, and pictures!
Chris's website was very simple and to the point and so it made it easy to navigate around. The only real problem was every button that I hit took me back to the first page and I couldn't find any pictures of Chris to look at. I liked the basketball picture because it showed me what he is passioate about, but when I went to look at the stats and the team every button took me back to the home page so that's something he needs to work on. Other than that it was a good website, just needs some more work on.
The thing that I liked the most out of Ashley's website was her picture slideshow. It was different than just looking at pictures on the actual website and was something different for people to look at. The color design for her page was great because it fit her and you could just tell that she cared about her website by everything she put into it. It was a great website and I hope that she keeps it up!
Nikki Moody's website is really cool as well. Her colors are calming and soothing and the quote that she has on the front page draws you in to her page and makes you want to keep looking at the rest of her website. She also included her trip to Finland and that really gets students to asking questions because they can't believe that she's been that far! So I think that Nikki did a wonderful job on her website. Her iMovie and ABC book was really cool and was a joy to watch.
I think that Ashley's website is amazing. She's got a page for about everything going on in her life and it really makes you feel like you know her when you're done looking at her website. All her pages flow together and are just really pretty colors. She's really letting her students know who she is and everything that she's done. Next year I would like to go back to my website and add more projects and pictures and some more personal things to really let my students know who I am. Great job Ashley!
I absolutely liked Jolene's website. The colors are bold and catch your attention right away and it just draws you into her webpage. Her buttons on her projects page could have been done a little differently I feel but other than that I really like her website! I wish that I would have put some pictures on of me with my kindergarten kids on my website like Jolene did, so that's something I need to get some pictures of to put on there.
This class was really an eye opener for me. I had no idea that I could do so much on a Mac than what I could do on a PC. The things that I liked about this class was Cyndi had us doing different projects, but they were all projectst that we could do on our own, even though on the last day we were having some problems :) I like the way that my iMovie turned out, I never knew that I could do that on my own. The thing that I didn't like about the class was the way that we had to blog on 3 podcasts and the articles that she posted. I think as the semester went on we all got so busy doing our own projects and trying to figure out what we were going to do that the podcasts and articles were the last thing on our minds. Maybe next year only have 1 podcast a week or instead of the podcast do a reflection on 1 article a week. Other than that I think that this class was awesome and I learned so much that I hope I can keep up on, especially my website. I never knew I could do that and now that I know I can I plan on keeping it up.
